Pisasu Movie Review

Horror movies are the latest fad in Tamil cinema. Many a film on the genre have raked in moolah. Filmmaker Mysskin too has joined the race. His film appropriately titled Pisasu has Naga, Prayaga Martin, Harish Uthaman, Radharavi, Kani Kusruti, Kalyani Natarajan among others.

It is produced by National award winning filmmaker Bala with music by Arrol Corelli.
The man who made films like Onayum Aatukuttiyum and Nandhalala, is out with a different film this type.

He has managed to tread the path well and comeout with an engrossing ride. Pisasu is about a youngster (Naga) who tries to save a girl hit by a car. But she dies at the hospital. When Naga returns home, he encounters some ‘eerie’ moments. He understands that it is spirit of the girl killed in the mishap. Unlike other ghost stories, the giorl’s spirit is very protective of him. Bails him fgrom all dfdofficult situations. But theereis a twist in the tale towards the climax.

Naga and Prayaga Martin fit their roles well. They have given an intense performance. Radha Ravi plays a different role.

The high point of the movie is Ravi Roy’s camera. The wide angle and pleasant lighting add value to tyhe script. BGM by Arrol Corelli is another highlight.

Mysskin has succeeded in giving his best. Three cheers to Pisasu.
